After four and a half months away from home, eight-month-old Lawson Armstrong was ready to leave Boston Children's Hospital following chemotherapy and a bone-marrow transplant. Her weakened immune system made airline travel unsuitable, while a multiday drive would have created additional strain.
On May 4, 2021, a Cessna Citation Latitude carried Lawson and her mother directly from Boston Logan International Airport to Ocala International Airport. The flight turned a difficult transportation problem into a protected, direct journey home.
